We got the go-ahead from the doctor to start feeding Avery rice cereal. She took to it quickly, although we may have to send her to charm school if her manners don’t improve.
This film is rated ‘PG’ because it’s Pretty Gross at times.
It was a perfect spring day, so we went for lunch on the patio at one of our favorite spots. I grabbed this photo of Avery and Diana enjoying the sun and breeze. Definitely a favorite.
Avery visited the doctor today. At 4 months and eight days old, she weighs 14 pounds and measures 24 inches! She’s gained nearly 9 pounds and 7 inches since the day we brought her home from the hospital.
The doctor said that she’s “doing better than good.” We’re going to make sure things stay that way.

Right now, Avery can only make it for a few minutes in this chair before wanting out. We hope that she ends up loving it. (Dad does).

Update (March 2011): Avery’s come full circle on this. She loves it now, sometimes going for a ride lasting 30 minutes or longer. Every once in a while, she’ll even fall asleep in it.
